Resin tables have taken the world by storm, and they are probably all over your social media feeds! These handmade tables are incredibly customizable, with endless options to explore. If you’re unfamiliar with resin, let me introduce you to epoxy resin. This two-part synthetic polymer, also known as polyepoxide, when mixed and cured, forms a durable, high-strength, and adhesive substance. For example, the table above features a smoky metallic grey resin in its center. We refer to this design as a river table. Let’s dive in, and together, we’ll explore some of my favorite resin customizations!
Neutral Color Resins

First, we have neutral colors. Most of the custom resin tables I design feature neutral colors such as black, navy, white, grey, and clear. I typically use these colors as flat tones, like the table shown above. However, we can also add movement to the resin, creating a focal point at the center of the table, as seen in the picture below. I recommend neutral resin colors for those who prefer an option that easily complements their home’s decor, especially if they plan to remodel in the future.

Bold Color Resins

Next, we explore bold colors. Contrasting hues like red, purple, and pink create a unique table that’s art. The table above was featured at the Rye Showroom and quickly sold out. I enjoyed admiring it in our window and was sad to see it go, but happy it found a great home! I love incorporating bold colors, not only in river tables but also as subtle accents in knot holes and voids. The custom table below is a live edge maple slab with a touch of green resin.

Finally, I recommend bold resin colors for those seeking the “wow factor.” These vibrant colors immediately capture attention, turning the table into a focal point of any room and sparking conversation. Bold resin colors add personality, depth, and excitement to your space. Whether you choose vibrant blues, fiery reds, or striking greens, these colors transform a simple piece of furniture into an unforgettable work of art.
Ocean Inspired Combinations

Last, We offer ocean-inspired resin combinations, perfect for any beach house. For example, I designed this custom bar using live edge acacia wood, reclaimed rough sawn silver barnwood, and handcrafted ocean resin flowing through it. Moreover, the resin isn’t limited to just waves; we can also add sand, seashells, and other nautical elements to match your unique style. Finally, a special shout-out to Terrence, our lead finisher!
